Refund Policy

This Refund Policy explains how PlanChop handles billing, cancellations, and refund requests for Pro subscriptions. It is part of, and read alongside, our Terms & Conditions.

  • 3 free imports, no card needed to start. We do not auto-charge anyone who never subscribes.
  • Cancel anytime from your account settings. You keep your subscription through the end of the period you already paid for.
  • No automatic refunds for partial billing periods. We review individual requests on a case-by-case basis.
  • 14-day window to flag a charge you believe is wrong or tied to a significant service issue. Reach out and we will look into it.
  • Talk to us before disputing. A quick chat is faster than a chargeback, and we are happy to fix billing mistakes directly.

1. What This Policy Covers

This policy applies to PlanChop Pro subscriptions billed monthly or yearly. The free preview (3 personalized recipe imports) costs nothing, so refunds do not apply to it.

2. Free Preview

New users get 3 personalized recipe imports without entering a credit card. If you choose not to subscribe, you can still view, cook, and re-personalize the recipes you have already imported - we just stop accepting new imports until you subscribe. We do not charge you automatically, and there is nothing to refund because nothing has been billed.

3. Cancellation

You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time from your account settings under Subscription. When you cancel:

  • You retain access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.
  • You are not charged again at the next renewal.
  • Afterward, you can still view, cook, and personalize the recipes you have already imported. Importing additional recipes requires an active subscription.

4. When Refunds May Apply

We generally do not issue refunds for partial billing periods, since canceling already preserves your access through the period you paid for. That said, we review every refund request individually. We are most likely to issue a refund when:

  • You were charged in error (for example, a duplicate charge, or a charge after a confirmed cancellation).
  • You experienced a significant service issue that materially prevented you from using paid features.
  • You were billed unexpectedly, and you contact us within 14 days of the charge.

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method and typically appear within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.

5. How to Request a Refund

The fastest way to reach us is the in-app support chat. Tell us which charge you are asking about and what happened, and we will follow up directly.

6. Chargebacks & Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank or credit card company. We are happy to resolve billing issues directly, and that path is usually faster than a dispute. Accounts with unresolved chargebacks may be suspended until the dispute is settled.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify active subscribers by email or in-app notice. Continued use of PlanChop after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
